Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using winnipeghc.ca (the “Site”), operated by Winnipeg Healing Connection (“WHC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, registering as a member, submitting an event, or purchasing a membership or festival ticket, you agree to these Terms.
1. About WHC
Winnipeg Healing Connection is a public directory and community platform connecting the Winnipeg community with local holistic health and wellness practitioners, and hosting a calendar of related events and an annual festival.
2. Directory Listings and Membership
- Practitioners may apply to join the directory for an annual membership fee (currently $150 CAD/year).
- Membership renews annually. At this time, renewal is not automatic for all members — you will receive a reminder email before your renewal date with a payment link. It is your responsibility to complete payment to keep your listing active.
- WHC reserves the right to decline, remove, or suspend any listing at its discretion, including for inaccurate information, inactive accounts, or violations of these Terms.
- Membership fees are non-refundable except at WHC’s discretion.
3. Accuracy of Information
Members are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information in their directory listing, including their qualifications, services, and credentials. WHC does not verify, endorse, or guarantee the qualifications, licensing, services, or claims of any listed practitioner.
4. No Medical Advice
Content on the Site, including directory listings and event descriptions, is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical or health advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before beginning any new health or wellness practice. WHC is not a party to, and is not responsible for, any transaction, service, or interaction between you and a listed practitioner.
5. Events and Festival
- Members may submit events for inclusion on the Site’s event calendar. WHC reserves the right to edit, decline, or remove event listings.
- Tickets for the annual Healing Connections Festival are subject to the refund/exchange policy stated at the time of purchase.
- Photos and video may be taken at WHC events, including the festival, for promotional use on the Site, social media, and marketing materials. By attending, you consent to this use unless you notify us otherwise in advance.
6. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login information and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
7. Payments
Payments for memberships, festival tickets, and exhibitor tables are processed by our third-party payment processor, Square. WHC does not store your full payment card details.
8. Intellectual Property
The Site’s design, text, and other original content are owned by WHC. Members retain ownership of the content they submit (photos, bios, event details) but grant WHC a license to display that content on the Site and in related promotional materials.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WHC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site, your membership, or your interactions with any practitioner or attendee found through the Site.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba and the applicable laws of Canada.
